Yvonne Youngren, 81, passed away Jan. 7, 2020. Survived by children, Julie Youngren, Jay (Lori) Youngren and Justin (Pam) Youngren; brother, Jim (Mary) Kirkland; grandchildren, Renee Shure, Claire Audrey and Harrison Youngren; niece, Ronda (John) Neumeister; nephew, Baxter (Brianna) Kirkland; and many great and great-grand nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Ray Youngren; parents; and brother, Gary Kirkland. Yvonne was born to Moritz and Dorothy Kirkland on Sept. 14, 1938, in Pueblo, Colo. She was very proud to be a homemaker and cattle rancher. She raised Watusi Cattle and worked for 14 years with Beulah Ambulance. Yvonne had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening, moving trees with her tree spade and she loved dancing. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service, 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2020, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Sangre de Cristo Hospice. Online condolences, www.montgomerysteward.com

As friends and former neighbors of the Youngren family we extend our sincere condolences to the family for the recent passing of Yvonne Youngren. We know her life touched many relatives and friends. We enjoyed our visits with her. She will be missed by all who knew her.
As a long time neighbor and former resident of the Beulah-Goodpasture community I personally knew many of the family including Fred Youngren, the carpenter and his son, Ray Youngren and grandson, Raymond Albert. These were all nice neighbors and friends.

Yvonne, I’ve only known you for a few short years, but what an impact you made. I loved our conversations, our first was you confirming the reputation that proceeded you 🙂 You shared your joy of life with me, laughed and joked with me and warmed my heart. I feel blessed for getting to know you.

I will certainly miss Yvonne. She has shown me a number of “kindnesses” over the years. I so appreciated that she allowed me to “bird watch” at her pond . . . and would even join me in the viewing. She certainly defined the word, “spunk!”
Yvonne stopped by a month or so ago to drop an article about Mike. She talked about not being ready to die. We talked about my mom and aunts. She was best friends with my Aunt Lillian Koger in high school. She will be missed.
