Jimmie Franklin Rogers, 88, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2019. Jimmie was born in Rocky Ford on Aug. 13, 1930. On June 15, 1951, he married the love of his life, Elsie May Rogers. They called Pueblo their home since the late 1950's. Jimmie dedicated his life to his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and worked for Colorado Department of Transportation for 35+ years. He loved flying his radio controlled airplanes and having his coffee with his flying buddies. Jimmie enjoyed spending time with his family and doing woodworking. Preceded in death by his wife, Elsie; parents; brothers; sisters; and son, Clarence Dean. He is survived by his son, William Rogers, daughters, Kathie Rogers and Vickie (Dan) Johnson; sister, Jean Nichols; sister-in-law, Della (Julio) Verdin; brother-in-law, Fred 'Butch' Scott; grandchildren, Jimmy (Shashana) Rogers, Jennifer (Uriah) Criger, Joe (Alex) Ferris, Brandon (Leslie) Ferris, Jason (Amanda) Johnson, Jeremiah (Mary) Johnson, Casey (Brandy) Rogers; great-grandchildren, Cheyene, Levi, Kennedy, Kaydence, Colin, Damien, Nathan, Cayson, Bryson and Addison; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Belmont Lodge for all the special care and love you gave to Jimmie. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium.
