Charles (Chuck) E. Froelich was called to the Lord on February 16, 2017 at age 78 in Pueblo, Colorado. Chuck was born on May 12, 1938 in Mandan, North Dakota and was the oldest son of Elizabeth (Kraft) and Michael Froelich. He grew up in Selfridge, North Dakota where he attended St. Philomena Elementary School and graduated from Assumption Abbey in Richardton, North Dakota in 1958 where he was active in sports. In his early years he helped in his parents 'Red and White' Grocery Store as well as worked on the family farm. On November 22, 1963, Chuck married Evalyn Zander of Mandan, North Dakota. Together they had 5 children: Michael, Janelle, Todd, Chad, and Cara. Chuck and his family helped manage the Froelich Ranch just North of Selfridge until the fall of 1969 when they moved to Grand Island, Nebraska. While residing in Nebraska, Chuck worked for Sperry New Holland as a welder for 9.5 years until he founded Froelich Construction in April of 1978. Originally, Froelich Construction began with the building of farm steel buildings and then later commercial buildings. In 1980, Chuck and his family moved to Loveland, Colorado. In Colorado, Chuck expanded Froelich Construction further to include remodeling of homes and offices. He moved to Denver area in the early 1990's and continued his business until he retired to move to Woodland Park in 2004. Just outside of Woodland Park, Chuck spent several years building his beautiful mountain dream home. Chuck had a great passion for carpentry that started in high school and evolved over the years to a perfected talent and skill. As a sportsman he loved to hunt, fish, and spend time outdoors. He enjoyed skiing the Rocky Mountains and traveling on worldwide adventures. Chuck enjoyed watching and cheering on his favorite sports teams. Additionally he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Chuck was a determined and hard-working individual with a witty and loving personality. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends Chuck is survived by his children: Michael (Barbara) Froelich of Las Vegas, Janelle Froelich of Lake Havasu City, Chad Froelich of Loveland, and Cara Froelich-Vasquez of Las Vegas; his grandchildren: Garrett Ward of Martin, SD and Givanna Papsavvas of Las Vegas; his sisters: Jeanette (Eugene) Klug of Selby, SD and Patricia (Daniel) Laintz of Pueblo West; along with many other beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents: Elizabeth (Kraft) and Michael Froelich; and his son: Todd Froelich. A Rosary Service will be held at 6 pm on Monday, February 20, 2017 at St. Paul the Apostle Church. (1132 W. Oro Grande Drive – Pueblo, CO 81007). Mass services will be held at the same location on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 10am. In Leiu of flowers, donations can be made the American Cancer Society, 1445 N. Union Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80909, in Chuck's name.
