Rose Scancarello, 92, went to be with the Lord on June 23, 2026. Preceded in death by her
parents, Gaetano and Frances Scancarello: brothers, Joseph (Anna), Charles (Janet) and Guy
Scancarello; sisters, Mary (Al) Lingo and Annette (John) Cupps; brother-in-law, Ray Samec; and
nephew, John Scancarello. Survived by her sister, Frances Samec; numerous nieces and
nephews. Rose was born March 16, 1934, in Delagua, Colorado. Rose moved to Pueblo along
with her family after her graduation from Trinidad High School. She worked for Holloran’s
Realty for over 30 years. Rose enjoyed embroidery and spending time with her family. Special
memories include annual trips to Road Canyon, celebrating Christmas Eve and other holiday
celebrations. Rose was a member of St. Mary Help of Christians Church and St. Mary’s Altar
and Rosary Society. Funeral Mass, 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at St. Mary Help of
Christians Church, 307 E. Mesa Ave. and interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. Online

Sorry for your loss mom did almost everything with Rose from bingo to horse racing. She will be missed and our family will always remember her. Know that our family is here for you and your family. Oh God doesn’t know what he is getting with my mom and your mom.
Rose was a great friend for years with my grandma Joy at Capella. They ate together, played bingo, attended catholic services, and everything in between. Our condolences for your family and our prayers are with you. She was a wonderful lady.
