Robert E. “Robbie” Robinson was born August 6, 1955 in Pueblo, CO, to Robert E. (Bobby) and Edith Robinson. Where the family lived in Rye, Colorado, Robbie joined brothers, Ray and Jay, soon followed by sister, Lynda, and years later by siblings Lynette and Jeff. Robbie passed on November 27, 2024.
Robbie was a hard worker, starting out on the family ranch with hauling hay, building fence, and working cattle. After high school, he traveled the world, serving in the US Navy, later serving in the Navy Reserves, and retired with 20 years of service. Rural life and God’s creation fed his soul, as sister Lynda would say, “…the small, seemingly unnoticed by man things.” Simple things brought him happiness.
Preceded in death by parents and sister, Lynda, Robbie is survived by siblings, Ray (Shirley) Robinson, Jay (Cindy) Robinson, Lynette (Marty) Bates, and Jeff Robinson; son Scott Robinson and granddaughter Anya Robinson.
Through life’s challenges, Robbie claimed and often quoted the following verse from Deuteronomy 31:6, “He will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Viewing, 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, in the Montgomery & Steward Funeral Chapel in Pueblo, CO. Funeral service, 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6, 2024, at Rye Methodist Church in Rye, CO. Interment, Colorado City Cemetery in Colorado City, CO.
I was saddened to hear of Robbie’s passing. I know as a true man of God, a very dear sweet individual whom I personally enjoyed visiting with every time I got a chance and praying with, I am definitely going to miss him. I lift the entire Robinson families up in healing prayers an I KNOW we will see each other again. Rest High Upon that Mountain dear friend. God Bless You and your family. Blessings 🙌 ❤️🙏
