Myrna M. Ward, 90, of Pueblo, Colorado, passed away unexpectedly on November 13, 2024.  Preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, James G. Ward; son, Christopher Ward; granddaughter, Chrystal Ward; parents, Victor and Alma Harper; sister, Irene May; and brothers, Ivan and William Harper.  Survived by her children, Susan Ward, Stephen (Candace) Ward, William (Deborah) Ward, Mary (Raymond) Balchuck, Nicholas (Traci) Ward; grandchildren, Jennifer (Scott) Krause, Sean Ward, Ryan (Emily) Balchuck, Aidan and Jamison Ward; great-grandchildren, Johanna and Collin Krause, and Mackenzie and Michael Balchuck; brothers, Allen and Eugene Harper; and sisters-in-law, Jane Starritt and JoAnn Ward; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Myrna was born December 30, 1933, in Reeve, Manitoba, Canada and moved to Colorado in 1952.  She married James on August 6, 1955.  She was an amazing Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother.  She was passionate about her faith and family and was always available to give advice and support but mostly love and understanding.  She was an active member of the Shrine of St Therese for 64 years.  She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. Recitation of Rosary, 6:00 p.m. Sunday, November 24, 2024, and Funeral Mass, 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 25, 2024, both services will be held at the Shrine of St. Therese, 300 Goodnight. Interment at Imperial Memorial Gardens.  Those who desire may make memorials to the Shrine of St Therese.

  1. Susan and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Your family and mine lived a few blocks from each other and we went to elementary school through high school as well as St. Therese. Your mom always had a sweet smile for me and was such a support to us in school. May her memory give you some comfort as you move through this difficult time.
