Kenneth “Kenny” Jerome Batt, 70, passed away Aug 21, 2026.
Survived by his wife, Donna; son, Daniel (Laura); daughters, Laura (Troy) and Kelly; brother, Phil (Kathy); sisters, Betty Duron, Margie Sulkey, Judy Wilcox (Rick); sister-in-law, Diana Pfeifer (Paul); brother-in-law, Dennis Zirkel (Jamie); and 11 grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, Bertha and Jerome Batt; parents-in-law, Bonnie and Louis Zirkel; daughter-in-law, Angella Batt; two sisters, two nephews, one great-great nephew, a brother-in-law and a sister-in-law.
Kenny was born to Bertha and Jerome Batt on August 31, 1955, in Meade, Kansas.
Kenny started with Colorado Interstate Gas in 1981; it merged into Kinder Morgan Corporation, and he retired in November 2020. Kenny, along with many others, was instrumental in passing the bond issue to build Pueblo West High School in the early 1990s. He was so proud to be a part of this successful project.
Kenny, enjoyed his faith, family, Colorado Rockies baseball, and Denver Broncos football.
He was a 3rd Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus.
Viewing from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. followed by the Rosary at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27. Funeral Mass, 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 28, with all services at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 1132 W. Oro Grande Dr, Pueblo West. Live streaming of the Mass will be on the church’s website. Those attending Kenny’s services are encouraged to wear their favorite teams attire. I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed working with your husband/dad on the planning committee for Pueblo West High School. He was such a pleasant man with a wonderful smile, and what stood out most was the genuine passion he had for contributing in any way he could to the high school. His dedication made a lasting impact. He will be deeply missed by all of you, and by everyone whose lives he touched in such a positive and meaningful way.
