She was an Art Teacher at Trinity Lutheran School for many years, and in that time she got the chance to bring her love of art to so many people.
Debby always made every event special with her over the top decorating, no one could do it better! She loved to travel to Santa Fe, New Mexico, eat some great food and tour the art galleries. Her favorite was Georgia O’Keefe. Debby also loved to vacation in Las Vegas, see a show, and visit the Bellagio Conservatory to see what was new.

I have so many amazing memories with Debby, I started work with her in 1995 and she wasn’t too fond of me, but we became very fast friends and did some crazy things in the many years that we worked together at the school. Some of my favorites were abducting Phenkus the pig from Rick Arguto and writing him ransom letters to get him back, the indoor water fight we started and caused some trouble with the wet floors, I really enjoyed going to all of the 8th grade Melodrama’s that she and Randy meticulously planned. There are so many more wonderful memories of the fun and crazy Breckenridge teacher conferences, where we would get into all kinds of mischief. Thanks for making my 23 years teaching at Trinity so memorable, love you Deb!

Kelsey and family, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your mom. I know she holds a special place in the hearts of all of us she had as students. I have many fond memories of the projects in her classroom and the laughs we all shared when she’d let us come hang out in her room after school. She touched many, many lives. Last fall, I traveled with friends to Santa Fe and we visited the Georgia O’Keefe museum where I thought about Mrs. Daberkow and her love of O’Keefe. May her memory be a blessing.
Thank you so much for the kind words, her students were such a joy to her life!
