Cantalicio L. “Ken” Mestas, 77, passed away on July 27, 2024. He is survived by his wife, Leslie A. Mestas; children, Kenneth Mestas (Liza), Christopher Mestas, and Kevin Mestas (Scarlett); sisters, Martha Lopez, Vivian Wells, and Sharen Arguello; brothers, Kelly Casias, and Fred Casias; 11 grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives too numerous to mention.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Della Valdez; three sisters; and five brothers.
Ken was born on January 30, 1947, in Pueblo, Colo. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Master Sargent, and worked at Atlas Pacific. Ken enjoyed boating, fishing, and golf. He was a member of the American Legion, Elks #90, Pueblo Veterans’ Ritual Team, and past State Commander of the Disabled American Veterans.
There will be a viewing, from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, August 5, 2024, followed by his funeral service at 11 a.m., both in the Montgomery & Steward Funeral Chapel with military honors by the Pueblo Veteran’s Ritual Team. Final resting place will be at Pikes Peak National Cemetery, Friday November 15, 2024, at 1 p.m.
