Michael Ranjit Hussein, formerly known as Mike Huber, 54, resided in West New York, New Jersey, passed away unexpectedly in Cancun, Mexico, on Jan. 6, 2011. Survived by his sisters, Karen (Mike) Sexton and Debbie (Dave) Dupps; brother, Jeff (Valerie) Huber; and his partner, Orval Jewett of East Meadow, N.Y. Also survived by his nieces and nephews, Kelly, Shane and Corey Sexton, and Laura and Wyatt Lisonbee; aunts, Ruth Huber, Ann Isbester and Beverly Isbester; uncle, Tom Isbester, as well as numerous cousins and a host of friends worldwide. Preceded in death by his parents, Keith and Betty Huber; grandparents; three uncles; an aunt; and many close friends throughout the world. Mike was born Sept. 14, 1956, in Pueblo. He was a much loved teacher of English as a second language at Embassy Language Institute in New York City and Hudson Community College in New Jersey and was fluent in many languages. He traveled throughout the world studying religions and cultures. Mike made lasting friendships with people from all races, creeds and nationalities. Mike also enjoyed music, reading, photography and scuba diving.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Service, 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 17, 2011, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel with the Reverend Roger Hupp officiating.
